Euro 2024 Final: Spain beat England in a much-anticipated UEFA Euro 2024 final to emerge as the champions of Europe after 12 years at the Olympiastadion Berlin Stadium in Berlin, Germany on Sunday (July 14) evening. A young La Roja side came into the summit clash as the favourites to win, winning each of their six matches on their way to the final and did no harm to the reputation by the way they played the titular contest.
England did earn the reputation of being a resilient side, especially in the manner in which they came back from behind to win all three of their knock-out fixtures in Euro 2024. However, the Three Lions could not repeat a similar story in the final and succumbed to a defeat with Nico Williams' goal first putting Spain in the lead before England managing to find the equaliser through Cole Palmer's goal. Eventually, Mikel Oyarzabal's 86th minute strike meant Spain beat England to get crowned as the Euro 2024 champions.
