Akliouche, Ilenikhena Stepped Up As Heroes For AS Monaco With Goals Against FC Barcelona

A horrenous error from FC Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen gifted AS Monaco a golden chance to equalise, but they failed to do so, as a desperate lunge from the back from Eric Garcia resulted in a straight red card for the defender, as FC Barcelona were left with 10 men after just 10 minutes into the game.

That decision proved to be decisive, as goals from Maghnes Akliouche and George Ilenikhena sealed a 2-1 win for AS Monaco. Lamine Yamal became the second-yougest player ever to score in the UEFA Champions League, but his effort was not enough to deny AS Monaco an iconic win.
