WPL 2024 DC Players List: Full Squad Of Delhi Capitals After WPL Auction

WPL 2024 DC Players List: Delhi Capitals, who ended up as the runners-up in WPL 2023, had three vacant spots which they managed to fill at the auction in Mumbai.

The Delhi franchise of the Women’s Premier League who is owned by JSW GMR Cricket Private Limited, a partnership of GMR Group and JSW Sports ended up buying 18 players for the 2024 edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). The DC franchise spent a whopping amount in getting Australian all-rounder Annabel Sutherland as they picked the star player for INR 2 crore. They were engaged in an intense battle with Mumbai Indians (MI) but in the end managed to get the player after MI withdrew from the contest. 

They had only 25 lakhs in their purse and they went on to get two uncapped players, Aparna Mondal (10 Lakh), and Ashwani Kumari (10 Lakh) to fill their squad. Before heading into the WPL 2024 auction on Saturday, Capitals had Rs 2.25 Crores in the purse to spend with five slots to fill.

Before going into the WPL auction 2024, Delhi Capitals retained 15 players. They also retained the likes of Shafali Varma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Marizanne Kapp, and the team captain, Meg Lanning.
