WATCH: Wriddhiman Saha takes a stunner behind the stumps
New Delhi: Wriddhiman Saha has been the first choice wicket-keeper for the Indian Test side after MS Dhoni decided to hang his gloves in 2014 during Australia series.
Saha stole the show on the 1st day of the first Test match against Australia in Pune. The 32-year-old dived towards his right and pulled a stunning catch to dismiss Australia batsman Steve O’keefe.
Umesh Yadav swung the ball away from O’keefe forcing him to edge. The ball seemed to be going between the slip and the keeper but Saha dived at the right time and caught the ball mid-air which left skipper Virat Kohli shocked.
Saha had to miss couple of games against England to due to injury which opened doors for Parthiv Patel. The Gujarat captain was impressive on comeback but the selectors decide go with Wriddhiman following his return from injury.
