WATCH: Virat Kohli amused after picking his maiden wicket in Australia

Kohli was so surprised after picking up his first wicket on the Australian soil and celebrated the moment with a big smile on his face.

India toiled really very hard on the penultimate day of the only practice match against Cricket Australia XI at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). While the experienced bowlers were failing to scalp wicket against the local batsmen, skipper Virat Kohli enjoyed bowling out a few overs.

The same was the case on the final day when he ran again to bowl some his medium pace deliveries and guess what, he was lucky enough to remove Harry Nielsen who had already score a century.

Nielsen tried to loft Kohli over on-side but ended up giving a simple catch to Umesh Yadav at mid-on. Kohli was so surprised after picking up his first wicket on the Australian soil and celebrated the moment with a big smile on his face.

Later, the Indian bowlers finally managed to bundle up Cricket Australia XI on 544, which ended up with a lead of 186 runs. In return, Indian had a blasting start. The duo of KL Rahul and Murali Vijay scored a 100+ run partnership for the opening wicket. They added 109 runs for the opening wicket before Rahul fell off D Arcy Short after scoring a magnificent 62.

Vijay scored a century and remained unbeaten on 129 while Vihari added 15 before the play ended in a draw.
