WATCH: Vijay Mallya arrives at Kennington Oval to watch IND vs AUS World Cup clash

Mallya’s arrival pictures were shared on social media by news agency ANI. He even had a short conversation with the reporters where he said, “I am here to watch the game”

Vijay Mallya may have been absconding for more than 3 years now but he never misses out on making public appearances in London, especially, when India arrives there to play a game of cricket. On Sunday, the beleaguered businessman was spotted at the Kennington Oval where Kohli & Co. took the field against Australia in their 2nd league match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Mallya’s arrival pictures were shared on social media by news agency ANI. He even had a short conversation with the reporters where he said, “I am here to watch the game”. Here’s the post: As soon as Mallya’s pictures surfaced on social media, Indian fans came in number to troll the former Indian business tycoon. Here are some of the reactions: Mallya’s love for the game of cricket is not a hidden fact. He was the co-owner of Royal Challengers Bangalore but he lost all his stakes as he fled to England after failing to pay the loans. This is not the first time he has been spotted watching a cricket match in London. Last year, he was also was spotted entering The Oval on Day 1 of the fifth and final Test between England and India. He was at the same venue in 2017 during the Champions Trophy when the Men in Blue took on South Africa. He was also seen in Birmingham when India faced their arch-rivals Pakistan in the same tournament and was present at a charity dinner where the Indian side led by Virat Kohli reportedly maintained a safe distance from him. He has continued to make a series of interventions on social media to offer "100 per cent payback" to state-owned Indian banks to cover his now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines' debt. After the Westminster Magistrates' Court extradition order was signed off by UK home secretary Sajid Javid in February, Mallya had lodged an appeal in the UK High Court which has already been rejected on paper by a judge and is scheduled for an oral hearing on July 2. Meanwhile, the businessman's bail on an extradition warrant executed by Scotland Yard in April 2017 involves a bail bond worth 650,000 pounds and other restrictions on his travel.
