WATCH: The 'Ravindra Jadeja Reflex Catch' That Left Rassie van der Dussen Mistified
Jadeja’s did this glorious job just after captain Kohli took a stunner to remove Protea skipper Quinton de Kock on the last ball of the 12th over
Lately, the cricket fans across the country have been witnessing a rejuvenated Ravindra Jadeja on the field. Be it batting, bowling or fielding, the left-armer hasn’t left any stone unturned to prove his mettle. His heroics in the World Cup 2019 semi-final have already become history and he is keeping the spirits high thereafter as well.
In the 2nd T20I against South Africa on Wednesday, Jadeja once again exhibited his profound fielding skills to remove Rassie van der Dussen.
It happened on the first ball of the 13th over when Jadeja darted in at 96.6kph on middle and the ball held up a bit. Van der Dussen went forward and tried clipping it towards the leg-side. Jadeja leapt across and took it with both hands.
Here’s the video:
Jadeja’s did this glorious job just after captain Kohli took a stunner to remove Protea skipper Quinton de Kock on the last ball of the 12th over. After the match, Jadeja revealed how he executed the situation and took that flawless catch. In a conversation with fielding coach R Sridhar, Jadeja said he tries to predict how and where a batsman can hit a shot which makes the process of anticipating the ball a bit easier. He doesn’t tend to dive every time and rather tries to use his range of reach to get to the ball, Jadeja added. Watch the conversation:The Ravindra Jadeja reflex catch https://t.co/zmYvCKMWVy #BCCI
