WATCH: Rohit Sharma gears up to trouble Australia in Nagpur

Rohit has a decent record in Nagpur. He has played two matches at this venue and has scored 204 runs, being the third highest scorer on the ground after Mahendra Singh Dhoni (268) and Kohli (209)

Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma hasn’t appeared in his original colours lately. It’s going to be almost 2 months since he slammed an ODI century. After the 133-run knock he played in Sydney in January, he toiled hard in the next eight innings but could score 258 runs, including 2 fifty-plus scores.

His struggle was visible in Hyderabad where he played an innings slow by his standard in the first ODI against Australia on Saturday. However, the HITMAN looked in a great touch ahead of the second game, scheduled to be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Tuesday.

He attended an intense batting session and was spotted some fine shots at the nets. The BCCI took to its Twitter handle to share the video with a caption which read, “How good does @ImRo45 look at the nets on the eve of the 2nd ODI in Nagpur?”

Here’s the video:

Rohit has a decent record in Nagpur. He has played two matches at this venue and has scored 204 runs, being the third highest scorer on the ground after Mahendra Singh Dhoni (268) and Kohli (209). If he plays another fine innings against the Aussies on Tuesday, he may surpass Dhoni and his captain to lead the charts.

As far as the series is concerned, India are currently leading the 5-match rubber 1-0. They won the first face-off by 6 wickets after facing a batting debacle in the middle overs with Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav putting up an unbeaten 141-run partnership to drive them home.
