The incident happened in the 24^th over when Lewis struck the ball hard and it seemed like it will just go over the grasp of the Indian skipper stationed at the cover. However, Kohli leapt in the air and in one-motion clung onto the catch to bring an end to Lewis’ stay. With his 42nd ODI ton, the Indian skipper surpassed Sourav Ganguly to become the second leading run-getter for India in ODIs. Kohli also became the first-ever batsman in the history of the game to register 2,000 ODI runs against West Indies. He went past former Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad’s tally of 1,903 runs against the Caribbean.
