WATCH: Jofra rattles Middlesex with last-over hat-trick

.

Jofra Archer claimed a jaw-dropping hat-trick in his final over to help Sussex clinch a 12-run victory over Middlesex in a T20 Blast league encounter on Thursday. The English fast bowler’s first victim was Eoin Morgan, who hit a quick-fire 90 in just 56 deliveries. Archer claimed Middlesex skipper in his third delivery of the final over and then dismissed John Simpson and James Fuller off the next two deliveries to complete his first career hat-trick.

Archer’s effort at the Lord’s not just earned Sussex an important victory but also put him alongside some legendary names to be figured in the museum at a ground that is widely regarded as the Mecca of world cricket. Archer’s hat-trick at Middlesex’s home ground prompted ground officials to request him for his jersey to be kept at the prestigious museum.

Jofra, who has played age-group for West Indies and will qualify to represent England next year, was thrilled at his performance. "To get a hat-trick, I can’t really believe it – especially for a domestic T20 as well, it’s not like it’s an international game and I’m really honoured to hear that they want to put my shirt in the museum here at Lord’s,” he said. “I was more worried batting here than bowling, to be honest," he added.
