New Delhi: India succumbed to a 11-run defeat against WIndies on Sunday after restricting the hosts for mere 189/9 in the fourth ODI in Antigua. The visitors will now have to win their 5th game to complete series victory.

More than India’s defeat to 9th placed windies, what took every cricket fan by shock was MS Dhoni innings 54 off 114 delivers. The stumper recorder slowest half ton of his ODI career and also the slowest to score a fifty in India’s ODI history.

The former India skipper came to in to bat at number 5 after Dinesh Karthik’s dismissal but took 108 balls to complete his fifty. He scored his first boundary in the 103rd ball he faced.

With 37 required of 36 balls and one of the best finisher of the game still on the crease, fans awake in the midnight hoped that Dhoni would take India home but the 35-year-old failed miserably to guide the visitors to victory.

Dhoni looked disappointed after failing to chase an easy total. The Ranchi born cricketer was seen sitting alone in the Indian dugout and did not even come out of the dressing room when other Indian cricketers were shaking hands with the winning side.
