WATCH: After slamming century, Dhoni stuns Bangladesh with his lightning-fast stumping
Overall, the match turned out to be a delight for the Dhoni fans who have been waiting to watch their hero do a miracle
It was yet another disappointing outing for the Indian opening duo – Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma against Bangladesh in the warm-up match at Cardiff on Tuesday. While Dhawan scored mere 1 run off 9 balls, Rohit struggled for 42 deliveries but managed to muster only 19 runs.
After losing both the openers early, skipper Virat Kohli and KL Rahul took the charge. They tried to handle the situation but soon India lost two more wickets and were reduced to 102/4 in 22 overs.
The fans thought that it would be another batting collapse like the men-in-blue experienced against the Kiwis. But then came MS Dhoni and the Bangladeshi cricketers had no relief thereafter.
Batting in his usual style, he took some time to get settled and then unleashed the beast within. He got his fifty off 40 balls and then got to his hundred in the next 33 deliveries. He slammed a six towards the straight boundary to notch up the three figures.
The moment Dhoni reached this feat, each and every team member present at the dressing room cheered up in joy.

The incident happened during the 32nd over when Chahal came into the attack. He tossed the ball up that drew Das forward hoping to launch it downtown. However, the ball dipped shorter than expected and ripped away sharply. Dhoni was alert behind the wickets and easily did what he is best at. Here’s the video:
