WATCH: A 'bizarre incident' during the third ODI between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe

After a discussion, the umpires concluded that Taylor hadn’t moved much after he played the shot, and stood at the same position. As a result, the umpires rejected the appeal and declared it to be not out

Eccentric scenes on the field took place during the third ODI between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe at Chittagong stadium. It was during the 13th over of the match when the bizarre incident took place. In the fifth ball of his over, Bangladeshi bowler Ariful Haque attempted to throw the ball back at the stumps when batsman Brendan Taylor came in between the wickets, leading the Bangladeshi side to appeal to appeal for obstructing the field.

Other Bangladeshi players were quick to join Mushfiqur Rahim to appeal.

Here's the video...

While Taylor, who did exceptionally well to stop the straight delivery, bowled towards him, Haque felt that the batsman was out his crease as he played the shot on the front foot and wanted to get him out.

After a discussion, the umpires concluded that Taylor hadn’t moved much after he played the shot, and stood at the same position. As a result, the umpires rejected the appeal and declared it to be not out.

However, both Rahim and Ariful didn’t seem to be happy with the decision.
