Virat Kohli Villa Alibaug: Star India Cricketer Purchases New 2,000 Square Feet Property Worth Rs Six Crore- Report
Virat Kohli Villa Alibaug: The Indian batter reportedly paid a stamp duty of ₹36 lakh for the property.
Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has reportedly purchased a brand new property on Thursday. His new property is said to be a 2,000 square feet luxury villla in Avas Living which is a luxury bungalow project in Awas Village, Alibaug. The ex-Indian captain purchased this mansion for an amount of INR 6 crore.
Apart from being one of the most recognisable faces in Indian and world cricket, Kohli is a brand in himself and a massive social media personality with 237 million followers as of today. As per the Hopper 2022 Instagram Rich list, the right-handed batter charges approximately Rs 8.9 crore per Instagram post, which is more than the reported cost of his latest purchase.
"Awas is a preferred location due to its natural beauty. Besides, the Mandwa jetty is five minutes away from Awas and the speed boats have now reduced the distance to Mumbai to 15 minutes.” advocate Mahesh Mhatre, who works as the legal consultant for Avas Living Alibaug LLP told Hindustan Times.
Kohli is currently part of the India squad locking horns with Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Even though the Men in Blue have have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the four-match series, the way the hosts have performed so far have led many ex-cricketers and pundits to believe that they should go ahead and complete a clean sweep over Australia.
However, Kohli's personal form has been a bit of a concern in the game's longest format. Having said that, he did look to be getting back to his best in the Delhi Test match. The 34-year-old last scored a hundred in Test match cricket in 2019 and would certainly want to end that drought with two Tests- one each in Indore and Ahmedabad remaining before the ODI series against the Kangaroos.
Kohli will then play in the Indian Premier Legaue where he will represent the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
