ITC Maurya Hotel Crafts Special 'T20 World Cup Trophy' Cake For Team India- WATCH
Team India reached the ITC Maurya hotel after touching down in Delhi on July 4 and the hotel crafted a special cake resembling India's jersey colors, topped with a chocolate replica of the T20 trophy.
As the champions of the T20 World Cup 2024 returned to Delhi early Thursday morning, the ITC Maurya Hotel in Chanakyapuri spared no effort in extending a grand welcome. Amidst the celebratory atmosphere, a specially crafted cake awaited the Rohit Sharma-led squad, symbolising their triumphant return as the Men in Blue won an ICC World Cup after 13 years.
The cake, adorned in the vibrant hues of the Team India jersey, stood proudly topped with a detailed chocolate recreation of the coveted T20 World Cup trophy.

Alongside the cake, welcome drinks reflecting the national tricolour were thoughtfully arranged, enhancing the celebratory ambiance for the players and support staff.
Special Tribute To World Champions By ITC Maurya Hotel
Chef Shivneet Pahoja from ITC Maurya described the special cake prepared for Team India as resembling their jersey colors and featuring a chocolate replica of the T20 World Cup trophy. He told ANI that the cake was a symbolic welcome gesture to honor the team's victory. Additionally, he mentioned that a special breakfast was arranged in a dedicated venue to further celebrate their return.

After their brief stay at the ITC Maurya hotel, Team India is set to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in Delhi, followed by a journey to Mumbai for a triumphant open bus parade from Nariman Point to the iconic Wankhede Stadium.
