T20 World Cup 2021: Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have batted brilliantly not only in T20 Internationals but also in domestic matches.
T20 World Cup 2021: In 2021, Mohammad Rizwan ranks first in terms of runs scored in T20 International cricket, while Babar Azam is second with 523 runs. Virat Kohli has scored 231 runs for India, the highest in T20 this year. All teams have started their final preparations for the T20 World Cup, which begins on October 17. The Indian team will open its campaign for the World Cup in the UAE on October 24, where they will face their arch-rivals Pakistan in the first match. The Indian team has a great track record against Pakistan in the World Cup. Both the teams have faced each other 5 times in the World Cup and each time India has defeated Pakistan. But the Pakistani duo's recent form could raise Virat Kohli's concerns.
Rizwan and Babur's batting attack-
Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan's batting attack has been making headlines this year. Both have batted brilliantly not only in T20 Internationals but also in domestic matches. In terms of International cricket, the two have added 736 runs at an average of 57, which is a better score than any other pair. India's Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw are in the second position in this regard. They have scored 712 runs together, but both batsmen are not a part of India's T20 team. It may be noted that KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal have scored more than 600 runs together so far but Mayank has been dropped from the T20 squad.
Captain Virat Kohli's concern increases-
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan has been the opening pair in 13 T20I's this year, sharing 3 centuries and 2 half-centuries. Out of a total of 736 runs, they have scored 521 runs in the opening partnership. The 197-run partnership has been their biggest partnership. Not only that, Mohammad Rizwan is first in terms of most runs scored this year, while Babar Azam is second. Rizwan has scored 752 runs in 17 matches at an average of 94, including a century and 7 half-centuries. Babar Azam has scored 523 runs at an average of 37 and 4 half-centuries. Virat Kohli should be cautious about the duo when the Indian team faces Pakistan on October 24.
