T20 World Cup 2024 Prize Money: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced an unprecedented prize money pool fund of $11.25 million USD for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. It is being reported that the winners will receive the highest amount in the history of the tournament.

Whoever between India and South Africa manages to win the contest and lift the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, will receive a whopping $2.45 million. The other team, who will finish with the runners-up, will earn $1.28 million. The two teams that have lost the semifinals will go home with a sum of $787,500 each. In addition to the prize money mentioned above, every team will get an extra $31,154 for each match won. That, however, excludes the semifinal and the final.

Both India and South Africa Undefeated On Their Way To Final

Meanwhile, it is pertinent to note that both India and South Africa are undefeated on their way to the final. That implies it will be the first time a T20 World Champion will be crowned with a team not losing a single game on their way to the title. While India won the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2007, the Proteas will feature in the final of the competition for the first time ever.
