Suresh Raina To Adopt 34 Schools To Ensure Health And Hygiene For Over 10,000 Kids
Suresh Raina birthday: Significantly, Suresh Raina has retired from international cricket. He has not even become a part of the Indian Premier League this year. Raina practiced a lot during the lockdown and also went to the UAE for the IPL, but returned after a week.
Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina will turn 34 on Friday 27 November. The left-handed batsman has made a big announcement before his birthday. Raina is going to do a great job for three dozen schools and their students in a way. Raina has pledged to provide toilet and drinking water facilities in 34 different schools on his 34th birthday.
Suresh Raina has said that he will make arrangements for drinking water in addition to toilets in a total of 34 schools in Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Delhi NCR. Raina will launch this initiative in collaboration with the the Gracia Raina Foundation (GRF). The foundation will work in collaboration with Amitabh Shah's 'Yuva Unstoppable'. Through this initiative, more than 10,000 children studying in these schools will get health and hygiene facilities.

The foundation will also establish better access to smart classes for the students in these schools, a release from the foundation stated.
"It brings me immense joy to celebrate my 34th birthday with this initiative. Every child deserves quality education and this includes their right to have access to safe and clean drinking water and toilet facilities in schools. I hope we can contribute to this with Gracia Raina Foundation collaborating with Yuva Unstoppable," said Raina.
"It is truly humbling to see the upgraded facilities benefiting thousands of kids. This is an excellent start and we look forward to transforming many more schools in the future. There was no better way I could have celebrated my birthday, it was a truly heartwarming experience," he added.

So he wanted to be with his family, as his wife gave birth to a son just before the lockdown.
The former Indian cricketer has been associated with the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' and he was nominated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 to be the Swachh Bharat Ambassador in Uttar Pradesh.
"We are looking forward to working with Gracia Raina Foundation to upgrade better wash and sanitation facilities in schools," said Amitabh Shah.
