Superstitions of players in CRICKET!

In the game of cricket, superstition has been created among many players due to their jersey numbers. Be it hard-hitting batsman Yuvraj Singh, star opener Virender Sehwag or daring World Cup-winning captain MS Dhoni. MS Dhoni and Yuvraj liked to wear their birthday number jersey as they believe that it was lucky for them, while Virender Sehwag used to wear jersey without number as per recommended his astrologer. Sehwag played for team India in many matches without a jersey number on numerous occasions.

Apart from all these common superstitions, South African cricketer Neil McKenzie had a habit of checking in the changing room with his bat whether all toilet seats were closed or not. This is really strange!

Football great Cristiano Ronaldo is also a victim of many such habits/superstitions. If he travels by airplane, he sits always with Pepe and he's the first who leaves the plane. If Ronaldo travels by bus then he sits alone in the back row and is the last one who leaves the bus. While coming on the field, he first keeps his right foot. Moreover, he changes his hairstyle after half time of the game.

Pepe Reina, a former Liverpool player, makes a special meal the night before the game which includes ham and cheese toast and wine. Goal keeper David James of England has a habit of repeatedly going to the bathroom and then spitting on the walls.

Football legend David Beckham also had some strange habits/superstitions. He is suffering from OCD in which he has to keep everything in a straight line or in pairs, especially before the match.
