'To Kya Mental Hospital Jata': Fans React To Media Report Claiming Ishan Kishan Was Dropped For 'Partying' On Mental Fatigue Break
A media report claims that the BCCI has dropped Ishan Kishan from India's squad for Afghanistan series.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India squad for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. Even the squad witnessed the return of stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli back into the T20 scheme of things after the T20 World Cup 2022, it also witnessed quite a few omissions. The name of wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan was also missing from the squad, it was initially assumed that the stumper was rested.
However, a fresh media report suggests that Kishan was not rested unlike a few other players like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja but was dropped due to due disciplinary reasons. The stumper had reportedly asked for a break from the BCCI owing to mental fatigue but was spotted partying in Dubai even though he had said that he would spend some time with family in Ranchi.
Netizens, however, seem angry with the BCCI axing Kishan from India's squad for the Afghanistan series.

Why is it a matter of concern of what a player does in his break time? It wasn't like he faked an injury and then was seen partying.

Asked for leave, granted by employer. What he does with the leave should not really bother anyone. That's what I get from this case.

Let him be. Leave him alone. It's his personal time. He can do whatever he pleases.

A break is a break, whether he spends it in his hometown or in Dubai. Anything that will help settle his mind
