Earlier, Gill also got a chance to meet Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland who are in a mood of celebration after a treble, consisting of the Premier League, FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League. Just before the WYC final 2023, Shubman Gill was spotted watching FA Cup final at the Wembley Stadium featuring the Manchester Derby alongside Virat Kohli.
The Punjab-based batter was part of the Indian team that lost the recently concluded World Test Championship Final against Australia and this was the second time that India suffered a second straight defeat in the one-off contest.
The Indian team will now be locking horns against West Indies in two Test matches, by three ODIs and five T20Is, starting from July 12. All eyes will be on the 23-year-old batter Gill who has been in a scintillating form for a while now. Also as per the reports, since most of the senior players are likely to be missing out on the West Indies tour, Gill has to take the onus and sail his team’s boat.
