Shakib Al Hasan To Start Training In Dhaka From September With Eyes On International Comeback

Bangladesh's world class all-rounder is currently serving a 2-year ban imposed by the International Cricket Council on him for breaching Anti-corruption Code of the ICC, one year of which got suspended, in October 2019. He can finally to return to the game in October 29 this year.

In what will sound as good music to the ears of millions of Bangladeshi cricket fans, Bangladesh's premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will get back to training at the BKSP facility in Dhaka from next month with his eyes set on a comeback to international cricket. Bangladesh's world class all-rounder is currently serving a 2-year ban imposed by the International Cricket Council on him for breaching Anti-corruption Code of the ICC, one year of which got suspended, in October 2019. He can finally to return to the game in October 29 this year. Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, Shakib, who is with his family in the United States plans to be fly back to Dhaka by end of August with an aim to get back to full fledged training and prepare a roadmap to stage a comeback on the internatinal arena "Shakib will come to the BKSP next month where he will have coaches and trainers available," his mentor Nazmul Abedeen told ESPNcricinfo. "We are functional as the coaches are all residing within the campus, so we can work with him well. Shakib will have everything at his disposal," he added. In a decade long career, the 33-year-old Bangladeshi allrounder has represented his national team in 56 Tests, 206 ODIs and 76 T20Is which he has notched up 3862, 6323 and 1567 runs in the three formats respectively. Besides his consistent with the willow, the left arm spinner he has also picked up 210, 260 and 92 wickets respectively in the three formats.
