Following Virat Kohli's resignation as Test captain, Rohit took over the leadership of the Indian red-ball team. Under his captaincy, India reached the final of the ICC World Test Championship 2023. Although the team fell short against Australia in the final, his leadership during the cycle earned widespread praise.

Double Century in Ranchi

One of the highlights of Rohit's Test career came in 2019 against South Africa in Ranchi. He smashed a stunning double century - 212 runs off 255 balls - studded with 28 boundaries and 6 sixes, marking his dominance in the longest format.
