Century on Test Debut

Rohit made an unforgettable debut in Test cricket on November 6, 2013, against the West Indies at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. He announced his arrival with a brilliant 177-run knock off 301 balls, laced with 23 fours and a six. His innings played a key role in India's innings and 51-run win.

Captaincy & WTC Final Appearance

Following Virat Kohli's resignation as Test captain, Rohit took over the leadership of the Indian red-ball team. Under his captaincy, India reached the final of the ICC World Test Championship 2023. Although the team fell short against Australia in the final, his leadership during the cycle earned widespread praise.

Double Century in Ranchi

One of the highlights of Rohit's Test career came in 2019 against South Africa in Ranchi. He smashed a stunning double century - 212 runs off 255 balls - studded with 28 boundaries and 6 sixes, marking his dominance in the longest format.

Record Partnership for Seventh Wicket

Rohit also holds the Indian record for the highest seventh-wicket partnership in Test cricket - a 280-run stand with Ravichandran Ashwin, showcasing his ability to anchor the innings even with the lower order.

Centuries in Both Innings

During the 2019 series against South Africa, Rohit joined an elite group of players by scoring centuries in both innings of a Test match - 176 in the first innings and 127 in the second - further proving he is a top-order force.
