Virat Kohli Unavailable For First Two IND vs ENG Tests Due To Personal Reasons
Meanwhile, Kohli remans unavailable for the first two Test matches against England citing personal reasons. The Board of Control For Cricket in India (BCCI) informed that Kohli has had a word with the captain and team management. While the BCCI said that Kohli remained committed to representing the country at the elite level, some things wanted his undivided attention which is why he is away from the game.
Kohli had earlier a break for personal reason during the South Africa tour as well as the home T20I series against Afghanistan in which he missed the series opener in Mohali before joining the squad for the Indore and Bengaluru T20Is. Kohli is likely to be available for selection for the final three Tests of the series which will be India's final international assignment before IPL 2024 in which the star India batter will be playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
