Rohit Sharma consoled Naseem Shah after the Pakistani speedster was left in tears post Pakistan's defeat to India in T20 World Cup 2024 on Sunday (June 9).
India and Pakistan produced a thriller of a game in their Group-stage faceoff of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday (June 9). While it wasn't one of those high-scoring clashes which went all the way down to the wire, it was a low-scoring affair which still managed to keep everyone on the edge of their seat. India might have been bowled out for 119 in 19 overs after being asked to bat first by Pakistan but in the end they managed to win the match by 6 runs.
As the defeat put the Men in Green on the verge of elimination from the T20 World Cup and Pakistan lost from a position where they could have won, speedster Naseem Shah was visibly in tears, heartbroken after the defeat. However, India captain Rohit Sharma's sporting gesture has been making a lot of noise on social media as he consoled a crying Naseem. The picture of it has gone viral on the internet.
