Shamar Joseph's Brilliance Took West Indies Home Against Australia

Shamar Joseph displayed remarkable resilience despite a toe injury sustained on day 3, caused by a searing yorker from Mitchell Starc. Although he had to stay off the field on day 3, he breathed fire on day 4 morning making a swift impact by breaking the 71-run partnership between Cameron Green and Steve Smith, dismissing the former. His exceptional spell also took the wickets of Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood. Joseph's ability to contribute significantly despite the injury showcased his determination and mettle.

West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite at the post-match presentation shared that Shamar Joseph expressed his eagerness during the match, stating that he wouldn't stop bowling until they secured the victory for the West Indies.

"He’s a superstar. I know he’ll do great things for the West Indies in the future. Just his belief is incredible, he told me that he won’t stop bowling till we win it," said Brathwaite.

This historic victory marked West Indies' first Test match win on Australian soil in 27 years, the previous triumph taking place in 1996-97 at the WACA in Perth.
