Pakistan team unable to travel for next series due to 'cash crunch'

The first Zimbabwe vs Pakistan ODI will commence on July 13

After defeating Australia in the tr-series, the Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to play a 5-match ODI series against Zimbabwe, starting from July 13 in Bulwayo. But, the guests were stuck in Harare, still waiting to leave for their first match which is just 1 day away.

Pakistan were actually scheduled to leave Harare on Monday after the conclusion if the tri-series. However, their departure got delayed as Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) failed to pay for their hotel stay which resulted in the cancellation of the booking.

Later, the situation was reported to be rectified. The Pakistan team will now reach their destination on Thursday morning, when their rooms become available. As far as their practice is concerned, the session will commence right ahead of the first ODI.

It has been quite a long time now that the ZC are facing a massive cash crunch. As a result, they have to postpone their domestic tournament and even faced problems in paying the players and employees.

On the other hand, the Zimbabwe team has already arrived in Bulwayo. As per reports, they reached on Monday night and practiced on Tuesday.
