Setback For MS Dhoni's CSK! Key Players Injured Ahead Of IPL 2024

With Devon Conway's injury, he now joins Mustafizur Rahman, Shivam Dubey and Daryl Mitchell on the list of injured Chennai Super Kings players ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

CSK injured players list: Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, several key players of the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have been dealt with injury blows. 

Firstly, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star all-rounder Shivam Dubey sustained a side strain injury while batting in Mumbai's Ranji Trophy match against Assam. The injury ruled him out of Ranji Trophy 2024. Dubey has had an outstanding current Ranji season, amassing 407 runs in five matches for Mumbai, including two centuries and two half-centuries. Additionally, he contributed with the ball, taking 12 wickets with his medium pace bowling.

As of now, there has been no official update from either the CSK or Mumbai Ranji team management regarding Shivam Dubey's injury. However, it is likely that he may miss some matches of the first round of the IPL, which is scheduled to begin on March 22nd.

Following Shivam Dubey's injury, New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra was sidelined from the second T20I between New Zealand and Australia due to knee pain.

In the recent developments, Chennai Super Kings star opener Devon Conway of New Zealand sustained a thumb injury during the 2nd T20I against Australia. He didn't come to bat and the Kiwis suffered a 72-run defeat, trailing 0-2 in the three-match T20I series.

Later, New Zealand’s X (formerly Twitter) handle confirmed: "UPDATE | An X-ray has cleared Devon Conway of an obvious fracture to his left thumb and he has returned to the ground. He will be further reviewed tomorrow. There’s no current update on whether he will bat."

With Conway's injury, he now joins Mustafizur Rahman, Shivam Dubey and Daryl Mitchell on the list of injured Chennai Super Kings players.
