The man who changed the way limited-overs cricket was being played, AB De Villiers, has decided to retire from all forms of cricket. He stopped playing international cricket in 2015 itself and now the South African legend has decided to call it quits on the club cricket career as well.
"It has been an incredible journey, but I have decided to retire from all cricket," De Villiers said in a social media post.
"Ever since the back yard matches with my older brothers, I have played the game with pure enjoyment and unbridled enthusiasm. Now, at the age of 37, that flame no longer burns so brightly," the South African added.
AB De Villiers said that the decision was not sudden and he has thought about it. "That’s the reality I must accept - and, even if it may seem sudden, that is why I am making this announcement today. I’ve had my time," he added.

Will De Villiers Play For RCB?
No, the South African legend will not play in the IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore.
"Cricket has been exceptionally kind to me, Whether playing for the Titans, or the Proteas, or RCB, or around the world, the game has given me unimagined experiences and opportunities, and I will always be grateful." he said.
