Mayank Agarwal Health Update: The Karanataka captain has officially registered a police complaint through his manager in what is suspected to be a case of posioning.
India batter Mayank Agarwal who suffered a major health score on Tuesday (January 30) and had to be rushed to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Agartala has shared a health update from his hospital bed. The Bangalore-born cricketer took to Instagram to pose for a picture. In the caption, he wrote that he is doing alright and looking forward to making a comeback on the field.
"I am feeling better now. Gearing to comeback 💪🏽 Thank you for prayers, love and support, everyone," Agarwal captioned the post.

Mayanak Agarwal Registers FIR In Suspected Case Of Poisoning
The Karanataka captain has officially registered a police complaint through his manager in what is suspected to be a case of posioning. Agarwal had boarded a flight from Agartala airport after leading Karnataka in Ranji Trophy match and drank a bit from a pouch in front of him. However, he immediately complained of irritation in his mouth and soon could not speak also. The cricketer was soon rushed to a hospital.
"He (Agarwal) is not in any kind of danger. He is currently under observation in a hospital at Agartala, and we will fly him back to Bengaluru once we get an update from the doctors, which we are expecting tonight," a Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) official told news agency PTI.
The 32-year-old has represented India internationally and has played 32 Test matches in which he has scored 1488 runs at an average of 41.33 with the help of 4 hundreds and six half-centuries. In addition, he has also donned the India colours in 5 ODIs. Apart from his leadership experience with the Ranji Trophy side, Agarwal was also the captain of the Punjab Kings (PBKS) franchise in the IPL. He will play for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2024.
