New Delhi: A major security breach occurred at the Air Force sports complex in Palam, venue for group A match between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy tournament.
According to ESPNCRICINFO, the man has been identified as Girish Sharma, who drove his car on the ground and the playing area, claimed to have not seen any security personnel and had gone astray.

However, he ignored several attempts from the players and the umpires to stop him entering inside the ground.
A host of Indian internationals including Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Ishant Sharma and Rishabh Pant are currently playing round 4 of Ranji Trophy at the Palam ground.
The incident took place just before the stumps on day 3. But, there is been no damage to the pitch and the game is expected to start according to the scheduled time on day 4.
