In the second match of Lanka Premier League 2020, cricket fans got a chance to witness the stormy innings of 40-year-old Shahid Afridi. The captain of Galle Gladiators, Afridi, brutally hammered the Jaffna Stallions' bowlers for six sixes in his innings, which eventually led to him scoring a stormy half-century.


All-rounder Afridi smashed 58 runs in just 23 balls against Jaffna. The flamboyant batsman hit 6 sixes in his innings. He scored his half-century in just 20 balls against a Jaffna Stallions' pace attack that comprised South African internationals Duanne Olivier and Kyle Abbott, and Sri Lankan internationals Thisara Perera and Binura Fernando.

Shahid Afridi's hard-hitting brilliance was seen in the 18th over of Galle Gladiators' innings as he hammered 4 sixes in that over off South African fast bowler Duanne Olivier.


Olivier bowled well in this match as he picked three wickets but the hitting of Shahid Afridi spoiled his brilliant bowling figures. Afridi hit three sixes off his three consecutive balls. After this, Afridi hit a huge six off the fifth ball of his over as well. However, he lost his wicket on the last ball of the over.
