Indian cricket team's star leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has registered an unwarranted record to his name during the first ODI between India and Australia in the Sydney Cricket Ground. Chahal has now become the Indian spinner to concede most runs in an One-Day-International.

Before this, the very same was earlier too held by Chahal himself as in 2019, he had become the Indian spinner to concede most runs in an ODI. He then broke Piyush Chawla's record. Chahal had conceded 88 runs in his 10 overs in an ODI against England in 2019. While Chawal had conceded 85 runs in 2008 against Pakistan at the Dhaka cricket stadium.


On Friday at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Australian batsmen smashed Chahal for 5 fours and as many sixes in his 10 overs. Apart from this, he also bowled 3 wides and a no-ball. This is the third time Chahal has given 80 or more runs in an innings.
