New Delhi: Concerns over Virat Kohli’s fitness remained as the Indian captain said that he will only turn up for the final Test at Dharamsala if he is a hundred percent fit.

“I am not different from anyone else, same process applies for me as it does for the other members of the team. The only condition that I will take the field is when I’m hundred percent fit,” said Kohli while addressing the media at Dharamsala.

Kohli revealed that he will take a final call after going through a fitness test on Saturday morning.

“I don’t know the magnitude of the risk that is for the physical trainer to decide. I think I need some more time. I will undergo a fitness Test tomorrow and only then will be able to take a call,” said Kohli.

Kohli had hurt his shoulder while hunting down a ball during the third Test at Ranchi. The Indian captain spent an entire day off the field but he did turn up to bat in the second innings.

Speculations about Kohli’s availability in the last Test rose as he did not bat in the training session on Thursday. His shoulder was also completely strapped up.

Kohli, however said he would push himself to the maximum limit to be able to turn up for the decider.

“As captain I obviously want to push myself. But at the same time you would have to keep a few factors in mind like how I would react when a ball comes at 140 kmph,” said Kohli.

Mumbai batsman Shreays Iyer has been called up a as back up in case Kohli is not able to recover in time.
