KL Rahul India comeback update: Team India's star player KL Rahul has been away from cricket for a long time due to injury. The right-handed batter has been out of action since May but it looks like he is set to make his India comeback soon. KL Rahul has started batting in the nets at the National Cricket Academy and has also resumed wicketkeeping. Some videos of Rahul practicing batting and wicket-keeping at NCA have gone viral on social media. Rahul last played for India in March 2023 and hasn't been able to make a comeback since then.

Rahul was injured in the IPL 2023 mid-season while fielding in a Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore fixture. He is on the road to recovery, undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy under the supervision of BCCI. Along with Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Prasidh Krishna are in the final stages of the rehabilitation process at NCA. Jasprit Bumrah and Krishna have got a place in Team India for the tour of Ireland.

Kl Rahul last played a Test match for India in February 2017 against Australia and his last ODI match was against Australia in March 2023. He could not play all the matches of IPL 2023 due to mid-season injury, which he sustained while fielding in a fixture against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Karun Nair was included in the team by Lucknow Super Giants as Rahul's replacement. In IPL 2023, KL Rahul played 9 matches, in which he scored 274 runs.
