Kevin Pietersen returns to IPL but not as a player

New Delhi: Kevin Pietersen will be associated with the tenth edition of IPL as a commentator.


The maverick England batsman, who withdrew his name from the tournament, shared the details of him joining the commentary team on his twitter account.



Pietersen will be available on the first and fourth week of the tournament besides the finals and knockout stages.


Interestingly, the former England batsman had pulled out of IPL citing fatigue and personal reasons. 


Pietersen represented the Rising Pune Supergiant in the previous edition of but was not retained by the newly formed franchise for this year’s edition 


Pietersen last played for the Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League.
