Junior Dala replaces Chris Morris in Delhi Daredevils' squad

With five defeats in six games played, Delhi Daredevils have undoubtedly been the most unimpressive side in the tournament so far. Heart breaking results have led to major changes in the side in the recent days. On Wednesday, Gautam Gambhir, taking the responsibility for the losses, stepped down from the position of the skipper. After Gambhir’s decision, team management promoted the 23-year-old Shreyas Iyer to the ranks of the skipper.

Delhi Daredevils have called up South African fast bowler Junior Dala as the replacement of injured all-rounder Chris Morris.

Morris had missed the Daredevil's last fixture due to a back and now the management have confirmed that the all-rounder is ruled out of the entire tournament.

Morris, who was retained by Daredevils along with Rishabh Pant, had failed to live up to the expectations, picking up only 3 wickets in four matches and scoring only 46 runs in his four innings.

That Dala was set to join the Daredevils squad was reported earlier in the morning by Wah Cricket. The 28-year-old Titan pacer will join the squad as soon as possible but is unlikeley to take part in their fixture against the Kolkata Knight Riders later on Friday.

Dala made his T20 debut against India earlier this year and picked up seven wickets in the three-mnatch series, which India won by 2-1.
