South Africa To Host Morgan-Led England In Limited-Overs Series During Nov-Dec

The SA vs ENG white ball limited overs series will commence with the 3 T20Is to be played on November 27, 29 and December 1 while the One Day Internationals (ODI) follow later on from December 4, 6 and 9.

England will fly down from the British Isles to the Southern tip of the African continent to take on South Africa for three T20Is and the same number of ODIs behind closed doors from next month. England Scheduled To Play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs Against South Africa The limited overs series tour will be played around the Western Cape with the Newlands Stadium playing host to two ODI matches and two T20I matches. Eurolux Boland Park at Paarl will host one ODI and one T20I match. Cricket South Africa (CSA) got the green signal form the government to go ahead with the limited over series after the SA govt granted exemptions for inbound travel for the England players and management. Eoin Morgan's squad will leave the shores of England on a chartered flight from London on November 16. On their arrival in South Africa, the touring party will be based in Cape Town. Ahead of the T20Is, the squad will train at Western Province Cricket Club. As part of their warm up games for the series, England will play three intra-squad practice matches - two T20s and one 50-over game. "The fact that England are the current World Cup champions will add tremendously to the two series and will give our own players every motivation to perform at their very best and challenge the acknowledged champions," he added. Tom Harrison, ECB's Chief Executive Officer, said: "We owe it to the sport that we do everything we can to keep international competition progressing during this pandemic." "Series against the Proteas are always exciting and intense. We saw that earlier this year in South Africa and we can expect the same this time around," he added.
