IPL 2020, MI vs KXIP: Cricket Fraternity Reacts After KL Rahul Used Off-Spinner Gowtham For Last Over Against Pollard-Pandya
Handing Gowtham the last over against hard-hitting Pollard and Pandya turned out to be too expensive for KXIP as the bowler cost 25 runs which led MI to win the match.
IPL 2020: Mumbai Indians registered a classic win of 48 runs against Kings XI Punjab, while much credit has to be given to MI Captain Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, and Hardik Pandya for playing brilliant, fiery knocks, it can't be ignored that Punjab's weak bowling in the death overs and KL Rahul's decision to use off-spinner Krishnappa Gowtham in the 20th over against hard-hitting Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya resulted in such match result.

Bowling in the final over of the match Gowtham conceded 3 consecutive sixes on the final 3 deliveries. Mumbai Indians veteran Kieron Pollard came up with some astonishing hits to rattle the off-spinner. Hardik Pandya has also struck a massive six on the second ball of the final over.
While fans were surprised and memes flooded over the social media after Rahul's decision turned out to be wrong, the cricket fraternity was also blown away to see Gowtham bowling the last over and was elated at the carnage done by the Pollard-Hardik combo and showered them with praises.
191 is a very competitive total on this ground. Brilliantly paced innings by @ImRo45. An off spinner to bowl against @hardikpandya7 and @KieronPollard55 in the 20th over! ????♂️#KXIPvMI #IPL2020

Batsman are getting better and have been awesome yes - but the bowling really needs to improve at the same rate ! The mindset is defence & not attack. Sure these tiny boundaries don’t help - but they can still get better at executing their skills ! https://t.co/PdHS2Dp1LJ

Kieron Pollard finished on an unbeaten 47 off 20 balls, while Hardik Pandya made an unbeaten 30 off 11 balls. as MI ended on an impressive 191/4 in 20 overs. They got 89 runs in the last 5 overs as well. Neesham went for 52 runs in his 4 overs and Gowtham gave away 45 runs in his four.Is this going to be the norm in T20 cricket? 80-90 runs off the last 5 overs!!! #RidiculousHitting #KXIPvMI
