IPL 2020: Comeback Raina Trends As Fans Request 'Chinna Thala' To Return Post CSK's Two Straight Losses

Amidst this lackluster effort with the bat in the opening three encounters in IPL 13 , CSK fans dearly remembered their ever consistent performer Suresh Raina who pulled out from the tournament citing personal reasons and urged him to join back the 3-time champs in the ongoing season at UAE

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were handed their second straight loss in IPL 2020 as Delhi Capitals (DC) beat them by 44 runs in Game 7 of the season played at Dubai International Ground. 3-time IPL champs CSK who usually look quite dominating all through the season, have been pretty up and down in their three encounters in the opening week of the tournament at United Arab Emirates (UAE). A win against Mumbai Indians was spearheaded by a spirit chase by Faf Du Plessis and Ambati Rayadu but the Chennai Franchise had to bear the brunt of Sanju Samson-Steve Smith pyrotechnics and Prithvi Shaw's opening assault in the next two games against Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals respectively. The main disappointment for the 'Whistle Podu' Brigade has been lack of intent by their top order batsman who have looked completely out of sorts. The repeated failure of openers Shane Watson and Murali Vijay and the perennial struggles of the middle order with the exception of Faf Du Plessis has been a worrying factor. Amidst this lackluster effort with the bat in the opening three encounters in IPL 13 , CSK fans have remembered their ever consistent performer Suresh Raina who pulled out from the tournament citing personal reasons. After CSK were handed a second straight defeat by Delhi Capitals, die hard CSK fans all over the world, flooded Twitter and other social media platform requesting and appealing one of their greatest stalwarts Suresh Raina to return and play for the team. Unimaginable for me that I’m not there today, but all my wishes are with you. Sending you all the good vibes! Go get it! #WhistlePodu,” Suresh Raina said in a social media post. One of CSK's most consistent performers with the willow, Suresh Raina is the second-highest run scorer in the history of Indian Premier League, with only Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli ahead of him.Raina is the second highest run geter in IPL history with a staggering runs in 193 matches. He also holds the record for the most fifties scored by an Indian batsman in IPL history with 38 half tons to his name.
