IPL 2019: RCB hand debut to 16-yr old Barman and opt to bowl; Bhuvneshwar leading SRH
Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bowl first against Sunrisers Hyderabad in an Indian Premier League match at Hyderabad on Sunday.
Prayas Ray Barman became the youngest player to play an IPL match when he was handed debut by Royal Challengers Bangalore, who chose to bowl first after winning the toss against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Hyderabad on Sunday.
Barman at 16 years and 157 days beat Afghanistan's Mujeeb Ur Rahaman's record who had played his first IPL game when he was 17 years and 11 days old.
Barman, who shone brightly for Bengal in the domestic season, was brought into the side in place of right-arm fast bowler Navdeep Saini
Sunrisers made two changes, replacing injured Kane Williamson for Mohammad Nabi and Deepak Hooda for Shahbaz Nadeem. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will lead the side in Williamson's absence.
