Hundreds of people lined up for a glimpse of Nita Ambani and the IPL trophy near the famous temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha

Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani offered thanksgiving prayers at the famous Siddhi Vinayak Temple on Wednesday. She carried the IPL Trophy to the temple, three days after it was won by Rohit Sharma & Co last weekend, beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL grand finale. Hundreds of people lined up for a glimpse of Nita Ambani and the IPL trophy near the famous temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The Mukesh Ambani family always invokes the blessings of Lord Ganesha on all auspicious occasions. On Sunday night, Mumbai claimed undisputed supremacy in the IPL by securing their fourth title, with a narrow one-run win over Chennai Super Kings in a pulsating final here, Sunday. CSK needed nine runs off the last over but the experienced Lankan paceman Malinga kept his nerve to concede eight. He trapped Shardul Thakur leg before in the last ball after Watson (80 off 59) got run out two balls earlier. Before that Jasprit Bumrah kept Mumbai in the hunt with his tidy overs and two wickets, getting rid of Dwayne Bravo and Ambati Rayudu. A day after the record win, the MI Paltan celebrated their achievement on the streets of Mumbai. The entire team boarded an open bus that travelled from Antilia to the Hotel Trident (the team hotel) in Nariman Point via Peddar Road and Marine Drive on Monday.
