IPL 10: Gambhir invites Sunrisers to bat in do-or-die encounter
New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and decided to chase against defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad in the eliminator game of the Indian Premier League 10 at M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.
Sunrisers Hyderabad finished third on the points table during the group stage while Kolkata occupied the fourth position. It is worthwhile to mention that these two teams faced each other in the eliminator of the Indian Premier League in 2016 and Hyderabad held their nerves to defeat the 2-time IPL champions.
The Gautam Gambhir led side will look forward to avenge Sunrisers for their loss in the previous version and set up a tie with Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier which is scheduled to be held in Bengaluru on 19th May.
Sunrisers have four changes to their squad with Yuvraj, Kane Williamson, Chris Jordan and Bipul Sharma all coming back into the line-up and that means no place for Henriques, Mohammed Nabi and Mohammad Siraj.
Kolkata Knight Riders have one forced changed as Manish Pandey is left out due to injury. Nathan Coulter-Nile, Piyush Chawla and Ishank Jaggi are the other members who have come in two form a strong line-up.
