Ind vs SA, 3rd Test: Another Ajinkya Rahane Flop Show Triggers Reactions From Fans On Twitter

Everyone expected Ajinkya Rahane to deliver in Ind vs SA 3rd Test after he scored 58 runs in the second innings of the Johannesburg Test but the Test specialist flopped once again.

New Delhi: Some angry fans on Twitter are trolling India's middle-order batter Ajinkya Rahane left, right and center on the micro-blogging site after his flop show in Ind vs SA 3rd Test at Cape Town.

Rahane, playing for his career, managed to stay at the crease for just 12 deliveries, and was sent back to the pavilion by speedster Kagiso Rabada for 9 runs.

Ajinkya Rahane has been under the scanner for quite some time now as the senior batter has not been able to score runs since last year as has been the case throughout the India-South Africa Test series.

In between his 'below average' last 10-12 Test innings, Rahane has also played some good knocks but fans and cricket pundits have lashed out at him time and again over his inconsistency with the bat.

Everyone expected Rahane to deliver in 3rd Test after he scored 58 runs in the second innings of the Johannesburg Test but the Test specialist flopped once again and if critics are to be believed, his 2nd innings in Cape Town could be his final chance to retain his spot in the Indian Test squad.

Meanwhile, fans took to Twitter to express their anger at Rahane's yet another dismal outing and brutally trolled him with memes. Here are a few reactions:

Cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir said he prefers to drop Ajinkya Rahane instead of Hanuma Vihari.

“Once again, I will not win many fans for saying this but I would leave out Ajinkya Rahane to accommodate the Indian captain. I am more in favour of Hanuma Vihari to continue in the middle-order. Even in the past, Vihari has been left out conveniently to accommodate senior batters. I am not sure this is how a young talent should be looked after. I have nothing against Rahane, he is a nice guy with a good heart and showed some form in the last game as well. But if I had anything to do with India cricket, I would be worried for Vihari,” Gambhir wrote in his column for The Times of India.
