India Vs England: Rohit Sharma Or Joe Root? Who Will Be The Highest Run Scorer In The Series After 4th Test In Ahmedabad, See List

With the fourth Test around the corner, who will be the top run getter in the India vs England Test series? List of the Top 7 Run scorers below.

India vs England Test series is about to end after a whole lot of dramatics on and off the field. After the first Test ended, it looked like an uphill task for India, but the hosts came back strong to win back-to-back two Tests. Very unlike of how Indian series’ are, this India vs England PayTM series has been short on the number of runs scored. With only one match to go, we are closely watching the player who will end up scoring the most runs in the series. Currently, it’s a closely fought battle between Rohit Sharma and Joe Root.

With 333 runs, Joe Root is currently the highest runs scorer of the series, followed by Rohit Sharma at number two with 296 runs in the series. Surprisingly, Ravi Ashwin takes the third spot in the most runs category, courtesy of a brilliant hundred at his home ground in Chennai.

Now fans are discussing about who would be the player who will end up scoring the most runs in the series. Amid growing criticism about the Ahmedabad pitch where the third Test ended in just a couple of days, news is incoming that the fourth Test pitch would be a belter and a lot of run-scoring is expected.

With both Root and Rohit in a tight contest, it would be unwise to ignore the role Virat Kohli could play. The Indian skipper would be itching to get a century against his name which he has been refraining from since more than a year.

Another significant thing was that apart from Joe Root, there was no other English batsman in the Top 5 run scorers of the India vs England Test series.

Here is the list of top run scorers in the India vs England series:
