India Tour Of Zimbabwe 2024 Full Schedule Announced; Five T20Is After T20 World Cup 2024

Zimbabwe and India will engage in a series of five T20Is starting from July 6, just a week after the culmination of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 in West Indies and USA.

India tour of Zimbabwe full schedule, match timings, venue, squads: Following the T20 World Cup 2024 in June, the Indian cricket team is scheduled to tour Zimbabwe in July as confirmed by Zimbabwe Cricket and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday (February 6). India's tour of Zimbabwe 2024 will feature a five-match IND vs ZIM T20I series between 6th and 14th July, with all matches taking place in Harare.

India's most recent tour to Zimbabwe was back in 2022, featuring a series of three ODI matches. The visiting Indian team emerged victorious in all three matches, securing a clean sweep with a 3-0 series win. The last T20 series between India and Zimbabwe occurred in 2016, with India prevailing 2-1 in the series.

Following the three-match T20I series between India and Afghanistan last month, India is currently not slated to engage in any bilateral T20I series until the T20 World Cup 2024, starting on June 1st.

Saturday, July 6: IND vs ZIM 1st T20I at Harare Sports Club; start time: 4:30 PM IST onwards

Sunday, July 7: IND vs ZIM 2nd T20I at Harare Sports Club; start time: 4:30 PM IST onwards

Wednesday, July 10: IND vs ZIM 3rd T20I at Harare Sports Club; start time: 9:30 PM IST onwards

Saturday, July 13: IND vs ZIM 4th T20I at Harare Sports Club; start time: 4:30 PM IST onwards

Sunday, July 14: IND vs ZIM 5th T20I at Harare Sports Club; start time: 4:30 PM IST onwards

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) general secretary Jay Shah announced BCCI's commitment to supporting Zimbabwe Cricket.

"The BCCI has always played a pioneering role in contributing to the global cricketing community," Jay Shah said in a statement.

"We understand that it is a period of rebuilding for Zimbabwe, and Zimbabwe Cricket needs our support at this juncture. Our steadfast commitment to touring and supporting fellow member boards aligns with our principle of bringing about a positive transformation within the cricketing landscape. The BCCI will do its best to make bilateral cricket stronger and commercially more viable. Our pledge to support Zimbabwe Cricket reflects a shared vision for the growth and prosperity of cricket on the international stage."
