IND vs WI, 2nd T20I, Toss: Unchanged India Opt To Bat; West Indies Promote Narine As Opener

While India go unchanged, the West Indies have made just one change to the side. John Campbell misses out, Kharry Pierre comes in

Team India will aim to clinch the three-match T20I rubber series against the West Indies when they face-off in the second contest at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground here on Sunday. In the series opener on Saturday, India registered a 4-wicket win to take a 1-0 lead. The Indian bowlers came all gun blazing to restrict their opposition at a paltry 95 runs after Kohli decided to bowl first. Debutant right-arm pacer Navdeep Saini was the pick of the Indian bowlers as he claimed three wickets conceding just 17 runs. The 26-year-old pacer will aim to replicate the show on Sunday and cement his place in the side. For the West Indies, Kieron Pollard was the only one who showed a fight with the bat with his 49 runs. As all the other Windies batsmen failed on Saturday, they would certainly be looking for a decent show as another loss will see India clinching the series. Toss Update: Indian skipper Virat Kohli has won the toss once again and today, they will be batting first. They will take the field against the Windies with an unchanged playing XI. “Looks an okay wicket today. Moisture from yesterday morning is gone. Think the pitch will get slower and slower. First six overs ball's going to come on nicely. Important to assess pitch once ball gets older. Have to think on the feet on such a pitch. Same team,” said Virat at the toss. The West Indies have made just one change to the side. John Campbell misses out, Kharry Pierre comes in. Also, Sunil Narine has been promoted up the order. He will open the innings with Evin Lewis. “Looks a better wicket. Still, think there will be moisture. Shouldn't change much over 20 overs. Backing the boys to come out on top. The message has been to keep that positive intent, just make smarter decisions. John Campbell is out so Narine opens the batting. Pierre is in,” said Windies skipper Carlos Brathwaite. Here are the teams: West Indies: Evin Lewis, Sunil Narine, Nicholas Pooran(w), Kieron Pollard, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Carlos Brathwaite(c), Keemo Paul, Khary Pierre, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas India: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Manish Pandey, Krunal Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Navdeep Saini, K Khaleel Ahmed
