IND vs PAK World Cup Ticket Price Soars To Staggering Rs 57 Lakhs In Secondary Marketplace, Claims Viral Screenshot
IND vs PAK World Cup fixture is scheduled at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14.
While it was already anticipated that the tickets for the warm-up and the league stage matches for the 2023 ODI World Cup will have a huge demand, the actual craze and frenzy might just as well beat the anticipation. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the International Cricket Council (ICC) had planned a phase by phase selling of tickets of matches, aware that it would be a nightmare to make logistical arrangements, in case they were to open the sale of tickets of all matches at a go.
While the tickets were available for purchase only for the users of Mastercard initially, for the rest of the customers, the same was made live between August 30 and September 30. The online purchase of tickets was available of BookMyShow app and website which happened to be the official ticketing partner of the tournament. While the tickets on World Cup's official ticketing partner were sold out within minutes, it is now being reported that the tickets are still available in secondary markets and are being sold at sky-rocketing prices.
A viral screenshot claims that the ticket for the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan World Cup fixture scheduled at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14 is being sold at as high a price as INR 57 lakhs. This screenshot is apparently available at Viagogo which claims itself to be the "world’s largest secondary marketplace for tickets to live events."

As far as Team India are concerned, they are currently in the middle of their Asia Cup campaign and have secured a place for themselves in the Super Fours. Following the Asia Cup, they will play a three-match ODI series against Australia at home before taking on the same opposition in their World Cup opener on October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. They will then play Afghanistan before their game against Pakistan.
