ENG vs PAK, ICC World Cup 2019, Toss: England opt to bowl; Pakistan bring Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali in

ENG vs PAK, ICC World Cup 2019, Toss: While England bring Mark Wood in, Pakistan get back veteran Shoaib Malik along with Asif Ali

Moving on from the hammering received from the West Indies in their last face-off, Pakistan would look to banish their recent ODI demons against England on Monday at Nottingham. Sarfraz Ahmed & Co have lost 11 ODIs on the trot and in order to avoid further any pressure in the later stages, they need to bounce back. On the other hand, England are the hot favourites in the tournament and they proved by outshining the Proteas in the opener. Their bowling attack has been commendable and they would continue their form to dominate Pakistan. Toss Update: England have won the toss and decided to field first. They have made one change in the side; Liam Plunkett has been benched and Mark Wood comes in. “Looks a good wicket and the dimensions are smaller than The Oval. So we need to look at all that. Reason for bringing in Wood is the genuine pace that he provides. A bit yes and also he bowled well in the recent series against them. We're always looking to improve and striving to give a perfect performance. Of course, you don't get near to it all the time but if you try to get there, you're in a good space,” said Eoin Morgan at the toss. Pakistan skipper lost the toss but he believes that his batsmen would put a good show against the hosts today. Two changes for Pakistan. The ones coming in are Shoaib Malik and Asif Ali while Haris Sohail and Imad Wasim miss out “I also wanted to bowl first. Looks a good batting pitch, so we're hoping to put runs on the board and defend. I think it's a one-off performance and hoping to get things right today. Yes, we batted well against them in the recent series and hopefully, that will continue,” said Sarfraz Ahmed. Here are the teams: Pakistan: Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Sarfaraz Ahmed(w/c), Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Amir England: Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan(c), Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler(w), Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood
