'New Fraud': CSK Star Accuses Zomato Of Calling Him Liar

On Sunday, Indian cricket team pacer Deepak Chahar shared his negative encounter with the online food delivery service Zomato.

Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player. Deepak Chahar, expressed his dissatisfaction with the online food delivery company, Zomato, on February 24 (Saturday), sharing his negative experience on social media. The 31-year-old, who placed an order from a restaurant in Sikandra, Agra, alleged that he did not receive the order. Furthermore, he claimed that Zomato accused him of dishonesty in the matter.

Deepak Chahar took to his social media account of X (formerly Twitter) to highlight his unsatisfactory experience with Zomato. The fast bowler disclosed his ordeal, stating, "New fraud in India. Ordered food from Zomato and app shows delivered but didn't receive anything. After calling the customer service they also said that it's been delivered and m lying. M sure lot of people must be facing same issues. Tag Zomato and tell your story."

Here's Chahar's Tweet:

In response to Deepak Chahar's complaint on social media, Zomato issued an apology, expressing deep concern about his experience and any inconvenience caused. They assured him that they take such issues seriously and are promptly investigating the matter to ensure a swift resolution.

"Hi Deepak, We're deeply concerned about your experience and apologize for any inconvenience. Rest assured, we take such issues seriously and are urgently looking into the matter to ensure a swift resolution," Zomato replied.

'Hunger Can Not Be Compensate With Money'

Chahar then emphasised that he raised the issue to bring attention to the widespread problem faced by many and stressed that merely refunding the money for the order does not address the underlying issue. He asserted that the problem goes beyond monetary compensation, especially when it comes to the essential need of satisfying hunger.

"Just wanted to highlight this as lot of people face this issue and no proper action is taken giving back the money of the order will not solve the issue. Hunger cannot be compensate with money," he said.

Responding to the cricketer’s comment, Zomato replied again, stating: "We truly understand the seriousness of this situation, Deepak, and are committed to resolving the underlying issue. Your satisfaction is paramount to us. Kindly share a convenient time for our team to connect with you and discuss this. Your cooperation is highly appreciated."
